Special effects and makeup artist Robert Green Hall–who left his mark on numerous horror films over the years–this week passed away at the age of 47. No cause of death was immediately given.
Hall–as reported by JoBlo.com–began his career in the early 1990s, with uncredited work on Body Snatchers and Night of the Scarecrow. He then moved on to the Stan Winston Studios, where he worked on The Island of Dr. Moreau.
Hall’s resume blossomed after that–contributing to such films as The Relic, Wishmaster, From Dusk Till Dawn 3, a few Paranormal Activity entries and 2018’s Halloween. His small screen credits included Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel and Firefly.
Hall–who also owned FX companies Almost Human and PostHuman–wrote and directed such horror features as Laid to Rest (2009) and Chromeskull: Laid to Rest 2(2011). He also helmed 2014’s Fear Clinic, starring Robert Englund.
The staff of Horror News Network extends its condolences to Hall’s family, friends and colleagues.
