The mad scientist has called it a day.

Richard Brake–who plays Dr. Henry Augustus Wolfgang in Rob Zombie’s reboot of The Munsters–has finished shooting his part, and Zombie marked the occasion this week with a photo on his Instagram account. Check out the pic–courtesy of screenrant.com–on this page.

Fans anxious to see Zombie’s PG-rated take on the ’60s TV series should take heart from this announcement. Production on the film must be drawing to a close, meaning a release date and venue (and perhaps a trailer) should come soon.

Speaking of a landing spot for the film, it was believed it may be a day-and-date release in theaters and on Peacock, but recent rumors have the reboot landing on Netflix later this year. As always, stay tuned for a confirmation from Zombie himself.

The Munsters reboot–written, directed and produced by Zombie–also stars Jeff Daniel Phillips as Herman, Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily, Daniel Roebuck as Grandpa, Jorge Garcia as Floop, Sylvester McCoy as Igor, Catherine Schell as Zoya Krupp, Cassandra Peterson as Barbara Carr, Dee Wallace as the voice of Good MorningTransylvania, Tomas Boykin as Lester, Jeremy Wheeler as Mr. Gateman and Pat Priest in an undisclosed role (an older Marilyn?).

The Munsters TV series–which ran on CBS from 1964-1965–starred Fred Gwynne as Hsrman, Yvonne De Carlo as Lily and Al Lewis as Grandpa, with Butch Patrick as son Eddie and Beverley Owen (later replaced by Priest) as niece Marilyn.
