The upcoming Resident Evil TV series is going to the dogs–zombie dogs, of course.

This live-action, eight-episode series will follow the villainous Albert Wesker and his children, and will take place in and around Raccoon City, according to reports. Lance Reddick, who will play Wesker, will be joined in the cast by Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph and Paola Nunez in undisclosed roles.
The show–based on the popular Capcom video game franchise–will be written by showrunner Andrew Dabb (Supernatural), with Bronwen Hughes (The Walking Dead) directing the first two episodes.
Dabb–who called Resident Evil his “favorite game of all time”–said the TV series will include “a lot of old friends and some bloodthirsty, insane things people have never seen before.”
The video game franchise–launched back in 1996–has sold more than 100 million games worldwide. In addition, the feature films based on the games have grossed more than $1.2 billion globally.
