The not-so-sweet sounds of horror.

Rabbit Trap–a new horror feature that recently wrapped production in Wales–is headed to the American Film Market that kicks off on Halloween in Santa Monica, Calif., according to a report on Deadline. Bankside Films and CAA Media Finance will handle sales.

The movie–from first-time filmmaker Bryn Chainey–stars Dev Patel (Slumdog Millionaire), Rosy McEwen (Blue Jean) and Jade Croot (The Serpent Queen).

Set in 1973, the film follows married musicians Daphne and Darcy Davenport, who have moved to a remote cabin in Wales to complete their new record. But, when they accidentally make a field recording of “a mystical sound never before heard by human ears, a strange child enters their lives who separates them from reality.”

Before long, the couple finds themselves “caught between the ancient spirits of the natural world and the lives they once knew.”

The feature is produced by SpectreVision (led by Elijah Wood and Daniel Noah)–along with Lawrence Inglee, Elisa Lleras, Alex Ashworth and Sean Marley.
