What a wild twenty-four hours it has been for actress Adeline Rudolph. Just yesterday Netflix announced that they had cancelled the Chilling of Adventures of Sabrina series where Rudolph portrays the witch Agatha Night on the series. Today, Rudolph finds herself in an even creepier role as she will play the titular character in Quibi’s Tomie series.
The series is based on the cult hit manga series by Junji Ito and follows Tomie, a beautiful high school girl who goes missing and pieces of her body are discovered scattered around a small town. But what starts out as a murder mystery, turns into something even more horrific.
The film is directed by Alexandre Aja (High Tension), written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick (Aquaman) and produced by Sony Pictures Television and UCP.
A release date for the series has not yet been specified. Stay tuned to Horror News Network for the latest news on the new Tomie series.
