You can’t tell the victims without a scorecard.
Next year’s Scream installment (Scream 6 for now) this week added four more actors to its ensemble, providing Ghostface with new meat, according to a report on Deadline.
Jack Champion (the Avatar franchise), Liana Liberato (The Beach House), Devyn Nekoda (Utopia Falls) and Josh Segarra (Arrow) are the latest additions to the Paramount Pictures/Spyglass Media horror entry that is scheduled to start filming in Canada this summer for a March 31, 2023 theatrical release.
This foursome joins Courteney Cox, Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Jenna Ortega, Hayden Panettiere and Dermot Mulroney in the cast. A major casting change is the loss of star Neve Campbell, who has declined to reprise her role as Sidney Prescott.
Plot details have been kept secret so far, but what is known is that “the four survivors of the Ghostface killings have left Woodsboro behind and started a fresh chapter,” according to the logline. It’s believed that their destination is New York City, which should provide an exciting backdrop for the bloody mayhem sure to follow.
The sixth Scream film will again be directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett from a screenplay by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick. Vanderbilt will also produce the movie, along with Paul Neinstein and William Sherak.
