Dead is dead…right?

Home Education–a new psychological horror feature set in Italy’s Calabria region–just wrapped its four-week shoot, according to a report in Variety. No release window has yet been announced.

The film–from writer/director Andrea Niada–stars Julia Ormond, Lydia Page and Rocco Fasano, and revolves around a family that lives in a secluded house in the woods and belongs to an esoteric cult.

In the movie, Rachel (Paige), a teenager raised in the cult, lives with her domineering mother Carol (Ormond), who is “driven by the belief that her dead husband’s body will revive itself, and forces her daughter to live with the corpse,” according to the synopsis.

And then, a local boy named Dan (Fasano) strikes up a friendship with Rachel, “which breaks the seeming tranquility and poses a threat to Carol.”

The film is produced by Warner Bros. Entertainment, BlackBox Multimedia and Italy’s Indiana Production.
