Founders Day–which debuted at FrightFest over the summer–is aiming for a wide theatrical release in a few weeks, and a new promo dropped this week that previews the candidates battling it out in the town’s upcoming mayoral election–as well as the threat looming in the shadows. The R-rated Mainframe Pictures entry–directed by Erik Bloomquist from a screenplay he wrote with brother Carlson–hits the big screen Jan. 19, 2024.
The film–described as a “whodunnit slasher”–is set during a heated mayoral election on the eve of a New England town’s tricentennial.
The cast includes Devin Druid, Emilia McCarthy, Amy Hargreaves, Catherine Curtin, William Russ, Naomi Grace and Olivia Nikkanen.
