Outer space will be scarier than ever.
The latest addition to the horror-s/f Alien film franchise has wrapped production, according to a report on Collider, with an eye toward a reported Aug. 16, 2024 theatrical release.
The new 20th Century Studio film–directed by Fede Alvarez from a screenplay by Rodo Sayaguez–stars Cailee Spaeny, Isabela Merced, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Spike Fearn and Aileen Wu. Ridley Scott–who directed the classic 1979 Alien–is producing this feature.
Little is known about the film’s storyline at this point, but it has been reported that it follows a group of young people on a distant world who “find themselves in a confrontation with the most terrifying life form in the universe.” Wonder what that could be?
