The Eye–described as a “dark psychological thriller”–is set to start filming in Athens and Corfu before the end of the month, according to a report on Deadline.
The Fingerprint Content feature–directed by Daphne Schmon (Tiny Vessels) from a screenplay by Emily Carlton–stars Shruti Haasan (Salaar) and Mark Rowley (The Last Kingdom).
The film–set in 1980–follows a young widow who travels back to the island where her husband died to spread his ashes. But, when she learns “the true nature of what may have claimed his life, she is tempted by a dark choice that could bring him back,” according to the synopsis.
The Eye–co-produced by Fingerprint and Argonauts Productions–also stars Sarika Thakur, Anna Savva, Linda Marlowe and Christos Stergioglou.
