While fans wait for news about the start of production on the fifth and final season of Stranger Things on Netflix, they can take heart that Dan Trachtenberg (Prey) will direct one of the episodes.
The final season’s scripts reportedly have already been written, but the Aug. 2 shooting start has been postponed–due mainly to the Writers Guild of America strike–with no new starting date in the offing.
One bit of good news, as previously reported, is the addition of Linda Hamilton (Terminator, Beauty and the Beast) to the upcoming season’s cast. It’s not yet known what role Hamilton will play.
What is known, however–thanks to a tease from show creators and writers Matt and Ross Duffer–is that the opening episode of Season 5 is titled The Crawl.
The fifth season is expected to pick up from the Season 4 ending that saw Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and the crew defeated by Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower)–resulting in the door to The Upside Down being opened.
