DC Entertainment’s Vertigo is releasing an art book inspired by it’s upcoming film ‘Mad Max: Fury Road,’ along with a comic book prequel. The prequel comic book, written by director George Miller, and co written by Nico Lathouris and storyboard artist Mark Sexton, focuses on characters from the film and will be three separate series. The books will be released monthly, starting May 20 with ‘Mad Max: Fury Road — Nux & Immortan Joe,’ followed by ‘Mad Max: Fury Road — Furiosa’ and ‘Mad Max: Fury Road — Mad Max,’ which is two parts. The hardcover art book, ‘Mad Max: Fury Road — Inspired Artists,’ will be released in May 6, and is a collection of art by Dave McKean, Bill Sienkiewicz, Gilbert Hernandez and more, and includes commentary by George Miller and the artists. ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ his theaters May 15.
