Posters For ‘Stranger Things’ Drop Before Season 4 Starts

It’s almost time to head back to Hawkins.

The highly anticipated Season 4 of the Netflix hit series Stranger Things will start streaming in a little over three weeks now, and several character posters were released this week (in case fans forgot what some of them looked like during the long wait for this new season to begin). Check out the posters–courtesy of JoBlo.com–on this page.

The artwork depicts Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Jim Hopper (David Harbour), Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) and Murray Bowman (Brett Gelman). These stalwarts and many more will return when the show kicks off on Netflix May 27–with the season’s second volume starting July 1.

And that season will pick up six months after the Battle of Starcourt, “which brought terror and destruction” to Hawkins at the conclusion of Season 3. The young friends are now separated for the first time, “and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier,” according to the synopsis.

Meanwhile, “a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that–if solved–might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.”

In other “strange” news, the writers and directors for the upcoming season were revealed. Series creators Matt and Ross Duffer wrote Episodes 401, 402, 407, 408 and 409; Caitlin Schneiderhan wrote 403; Paul Dichter wrote 404; Kate Trefry wrote 405; and Curtis Gwinn scripted 406. The directors included the Duffer Brothers (401, 402, 407, 408 and 409), Shawn Levy (403, 404) and Nimrod Antal (405, 406).

Stranger Things–which debuted on Netflix in 2016–follows the residents of Hawkins, Ind. as they deal with the supernatural menace of the alternate dimension known as the Upside Down. The series already has 39 Primetime Emmy Award nominations (with six wins) and four Golden Globe Award noms.
