Post-Production Wraps On ‘Jurassic World: Dominion’

The dinos are finally in the can. Hear them roar!

Jurassic WorldDominion–the latest saga in the mega-hit Jurassic Park franchise–this week wrapped post-production chores, as reported by, a full year after shooting had wrapped on the film. A tweet from director Colin Trevorrow, seen on this page, made the formal announcement, clearing the way for the movie’s debut June 10, 2022.

Trevorrow said the last tweaks and “last bit of reverb on the last roar” are now in place, and he thanked “everyone at Skywalker Sound for putting so much heart and soul into our mix. It is alive.”

Very little has been revealed about the film’s storyline, but the director has suggested that this installment will tell two different stories, with each building separately until they come together at the proper moment.

“You’re telling two parallel stores that are just driving closer and closer together,” he said, “and you understand that, and you start to understand how they’re going to intersect–and then they do.” The way the story develops, he added, “is much less of a gimme than it would be if you were following the traditional screenplay structure, where everybody knows what happens on page 12.”

Trevorrow also called this film “an epic celebration of everything Steven Spielberg and Michael Crichton created, and I can’t wait to share it with the world next summer.”

Jurassic WorldDominion–helmed by Trevorrow from a screenplay he wrote with Emily Carmichael–stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jake Johnson, Justice Smith, Daniella Pineda, Omar Sy, Isabelle Sermon, B.D. Wong and the returning Jurassic Park trio of Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum.
