Possible ‘Alien’ Animated Series in the Works

According to the gang at Observer, an R-Rated animated Alien Series may be in development. Sources tell the site that a seven-episode series based on the Alien: Isolation game could arrive as early as April. Rumor has it that Axis Animation will bring the series to fruition.

Alien: Isolation was published by Sega and released in October 2014 for both consoles and the PC. The game is set 15 years after the events of the original Alien film and follows Ellen Ripley’s daughter, Amanda Ripley, as she investigates the disappearance of her mother. The series received generally positive reviews and was nominated for several year-end awards.

Many fans enjoyed the games hide-and-seek type game play, as it was very reminiscent of the original film as opposed to more recent Alien games, which featured the player mowing down dozens of creatures.
