Gamers continue to count down to the June 19th release date of the highly anticipated survival game The Last of Us Part II. This Wednesday (May 27) at 1:00pm Pacific Time / 4:00pm Eastern Time the game will take center stage as Playstation is hosting a new episode of “State of Play” on Twitch and Youtube which will offer a deep dive and new gameplay footage.
Vice President of Naughty Dog and The Last of Us Part II Director Neil Druckmann is going to be on hand offering details of the gameplay experience and story. The presentation is set to last just over 20 minutes with about eight minutes of never-before-seen gameplay.
Released in 2013, The Last of Us revolves around two characters trying to survive an outbreak of a mutant Cordyceps fungus that transforms its human hosts into crazed infected creatures. The players travel across the post-apocalyptic United States in hopes of a cure.
