Stephen King’s buried horrors come home. Again.
Pet Sematary: Bloodlines–the small-screen prequel to the 1989 theatrical version of King’s 1983 novel–debuted on Paramount+ a month ago, and now is headed to a digital, Blu-ray and DVD release.
The film–directed by Lindsey Beer from a screenplay she wrote with Jeff Buhler–will be available for rent or purchase Dec. 5, with the physical media release arriving Dec. 19.
In the prequel–set in 1969–a young Jud Crandall has dreams of leaving his hometown of Ludlow, Maine, “but he soon discovers sinister secrets buried within–and he’s forced to confront a dark family history.”
As a result, Jud and his childhood friends band together to fight an ancient evil that has gripped Ludlow since its founding. And this evil has the power “to destroy everything in its path.”
The cast includes Jackson White, Forrest Goodluck, Jack Mulhern, Henry Thomas, Natalie Alyn Lind, Isabella Star LaBlanc, Pam Grier and David Duchovny.
