Don’t look now, but kids are disappearing.
Weapons–a new horror pic from New Line Cinema–will start shooting this fall, and another cast member joined the fold this week, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Renate Reinsve (The Worst Person in the World) will co-star with the previously announced Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us) in the next genre feature from writer/director Zach Cregger (Barbarian). No release window has yet been revealed.
Plot details for the film–produced by Cregger, Roy Lee, J.D. Lifshitz, Raphael Margules and Miri Yoon–are being held close to the vest, but the movie is said to be “a horror epic in the vein of Magnolia” that revolves around the disappearance of high school students in a small town.
Cregger’s Barbarian topped the domestic box office during its debut weekend last fall, and went on to rake in more than $45 million globally on a $4.5-million budget.
