The screaming will start a bit earlier now.
The theatrical release for Scream 6–the next-in-line entry in the classic horror franchise–has been moved up a few weeks, according to a report on Deadline.
Paramount Pictures now has slated the film for March 10, 2023, up from the previously announced March 31 debut. No reason was immediately given for the change.
Scream 6--directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett from a screenplay by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick–stars veterans Courteney Cox, Hayden Panettiere, Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding and Jenna Ortega–along with newcomers Dermot Mulroney, Jack Champion, Liana Liberato, Devyn Nekoda. Josh Segarra and Henry Czerny.
To the dismay of many horror fans, Neve Campbell will not reprise her long-standing role as Sidney Prescott in this Scream film.
This Scream installment will follow the four survivors of the last Ghostface killings “as they leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter.” And that journey will take them to New York City. Ghostface in Greenwich Village? On the upper West Side? Central Park? The possibilities are endless.
