Paramount+ Drops ‘The Twilight Zone’ From Its Schedule

That’s the signpost up ahead. Your next (and last) stop, The Twilight Zone.

Apparently, not everything Jordan Peele touches is gold. Paramount+ this week removed the acclaimed filmmaker’s reboot of The Twilight Zone from is streaming platform, according to a report on Deadline.

This remake of Rod Serling’s classic 1959 anthology series–developed by Peele, Simon Kinberg and Marco Ramirez–was narrated by Peele (as Serling famously did) and was produced through Peele’s Monkeypaw Poductions.

The weekly series debuted on CBS All Access in April 2019, and was renewed for a second season halfway through its first run of 10 episodes. Season 2 was released in its entirety in June 2020.

The original The Twilight Zone–shot entirely in black and white–ran on CBS for five seasons from 1959-1964. A popular and critical success, the anthology ran the gamut from horror, science fiction, fantasy, suspense and black comedy.
