“The House of Usher…may it rest in peace.”
Next month’s Netflix adaptation of the 1839 Edgar Allan Poe short story–The Fall of The House of Usher–now has its official trailer. Check out the sneak peek on this page.
The eight-episode series–set for Netflix Oct. 12–comes from writer/director Mike Flanagan of The Haunting TV fame (among other horror triumphs), and follows siblings Roderick (Bruce Greenwood) and Madeline Usher (Mary McDonnell), who have built Fortunato Pharmaceuticals into a lucrative–and controversial–empire.
But, when a woman from their past–a shape-shifting demon called Verna (Carla Gugino)–arrives to kill the heirs to the Usher fortune, “dark secrets emerge.”
Rounding out the impressive cast are Carl Lumbly, Samantha Sloyan, Henry Thomas, T’Nia Miller, Mark Hamill and Kate Siegel.
