A day after the first poster was unveiled for Insidious: The Red Door--the latest chapter in the horror franchise–the film’s official trailer has dropped. Check out the chilling (and revealing) video on this page.
This fifth entry in the horror series–scheduled for a July 7 theatrical release–is directed by star Patrick Wilson from a screenplay by Scott Teems. The Screen Gems and Stage 6 feature also stars Rose Byrne, Ty Simpkins, Sinclair Daniel, Peter Dager and Hiam Abbass.
The Red Door will pick up a decade after the second film in the franchise, as Dalton Lambert (Simpkins) heads off to begin his college career. In the movie, Wilson reprises his familiar Josh Lambert role.
The original 2010 Insidious–directed by James Wan from a screenplay by Leigh Whannell–follows the horrifying story of a couple whose son falls into a comatose state, becoming a vessel for entities in an astral dimension known as The Further.
