When the night shift starts, the nightmare begins.

Five Nights at Freddy’s–the big-screen adaptation of the horror video game–is heading to theaters around Halloween, and the official trailer dropped this week. Check out the video on this page.

The Blumhouse Productions feature–slated for a theatrical release Oct. 27–is directed by Emma Tammi from a screenplay she wrote with game creator Scott Cawthon and Seth Cuddeback.

In the film, Mike Schmidt (John Hutcherson), a night security guard at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria, finds out his profession may be more dangerous than he thought. The pizza parlor’s animatronic animals that are the delight of children during the day turn dangerous and scary at night.

The movie–which also stars Matthew Lillard, Mary Stuart Masterson, Elizabeth Lail and Kat Conner Sterling–features animatronic creations from Jim Henson’s Creature Shop.
