A new poster for Bird Box Barcelona–the next chapter in the horror series that began with the 2018 Netflix hit Bird Box—arrived yesterday, and now the film’s official trailer has dropped. Check out the video on this page.
The Spanish-language film–debuting on Netflix July 14–is written and directed by Alex and David Pastor. The cast includes Mario Casas, Georgina Campbell, Diego Calva, Alejandra Howard, Naila Schuberth, Patrick Criado and Celia Freijeiro.
In the film, a mysterious force has attacked the world’s population, “causing all who see it to take their own lives.” Thrown into this chaos, Sebastian and his young daughter Anna must try to survive on the desolate streets.
And then, as they ally themselves with other survivors trying to reach a safe haven, “a threat more sinister than the unseen creatures grows.”
The original Bird Box–from director Susanne Bier and screenwriter Eric Heisserer–stars Sandra Bullock as Malorie Hayes, a woman trying to protect herself and two children from those same deadly entities.
