Frank Grillo obviously likes to keep busy.

Grillo–best known to horror fans for his performances in The Purge franchise–is taking on another lead role with Man’s Son, a film inspired by occult activity in the California desert, according to Deadline.

Horror News Network reported just this past weekend that the actor will also star in a new werewolf-themed flick, Year 2, that currently is in pre-production.

Man’s Son–helmed by Remy Grillo from a screenplay by Josh Plasse and Brev Moss–is expected to start production next month in Yucca Valley, Calif.

The film–produced by Dare Angel in partnership with Mi Nene–follows a young couple trying to come up with a good audition tale for an upcoming Charles Manson movie. But, when they choose a desert Airbnb for their backdrop, “the dark events of the audition material seep into their reality,” according to the logline.

It isn’t long before the couple find themselves “intertwined in the sinister plot of an occult leader (Grillo).”
