Hurry up–everyone out of the pool!

Night Swim–a new horror entry via Universal Pictures, Blumhouse Productions and Atomic Monster–will now splash into theaters Jan. 5, 2024, bumped up this week from its previously announced Jan. 19 premiere date, according to a report on Deadline.

The new feature–from writers/directors Bryce McGuire and Rod Blackhurst–is based on a 2014 short from the two filmmakers, and stars Wyatt Russell (the upcoming Apple TV+ Godzilla series) and Kerry Condon (The Banshees of Inisherin).

The film deals with “the hidden source of terror found in an iconic backyard swimming pool, “according to the logline. “No running. No diving. No lifeguard on duty. No swimming after dark.”

Jason Wan and Jason Blum are producing the movie, with Michael Clear, Judson Scott and Ryan Turek on board as executive producers.
