‘Night Of The Ghoul’ Graphic Novel Gets Film Adaptation

by Thomas Tuna

Some monster movies are more than they seem.

20th Century Studios will adapt the upcoming graphic novel Night of the Ghoul to the screen, according to a report on Deadline. The Dark Horse Comics title will hit shops tomorrow, Oct. 5.

Rob Savage (Host) has been tapped to direct the pic, with 21 Laps Shawn Levy, Dan Levine and Dan Cohen producing. No details on casting choices or production schedules have yet been revealed.

The graphic novel–from writer Scott Snyder and illustrator Francesco Francavilla–follows a father and son “looking into the true story behind a long-lost Golden Age monster movie,” according to the description. But, as they dig deeper, “they risk unleashing the very thing the supposedly destroyed film had meant to keep hidden.”
