Next Shyamalan Thriller Set For April 2024 Release

This definitely falls into the “stay tuned for more details” category.

Universal Pictures this week said it has placed the next genre pic from acclaimed filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan on its theatrical calendar for April 5, 2024, according to a report on Deadline. No further details are available at this time.

Shyamalan, of course, is coming off wrapping his latest feature, Knock at the Cabin, which is slated for a Feb. 3, 2023 theatrical release. The pic–written, directed and produced by Shyamalan–stars genre standouts Dave Bautista, Ruper Grint, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Ben Aldridge and Jonathan Groff.

Shyamalan’s previous film–last year’s Old–topped $90 million worldwide on an $18-million budget and was his sixth movie to open at No. 1 at the box office.
