New Untitled Universal Monster Feature Wraps Production

Universal Studios may be opening Dracula’s coffin again.

The next entry in the legendary lineup of monster films from Universal Studios this week wrapped production, and is aiming for an April 19, 2024 theatrical release.

The feature–still untitled, but rumored to be called Dracula’s Daughter–is directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Scream, Scream VI) from a screenplay by Stephen Shields (with revisions from Guy Busick).

The cast includes Melissa Barrera, Alisha Weir, Dan Stevens, Kevin Durand, Kathryn Newton, Angus Cloud, Will Catlett and Giancarlo Esposito.

No plot details have been revealed, but the film reportedly will feature “a unique take on legendary monster lore,” and will follow a group of kidnappers “who regret their actions when they learn one of the teens they grabbed is the offspring of a bloodthirsty count.” Hmm, wonder who that could be?
