“What in God’s name has she done to you?”

Frankenstein: Legacy–a new take on the all-time great horror classic–was announced late last year, but nothing has dropped on the project since then–but now a trailer has arrived. Check out the video on this page.

The film–which still does not have a release window–is directed by Paul Dudbridge (Fear the Invisible Man), and stars Juliet Aubrey, Michelle Ryan, Philip Martin Brown and Matt Barber.

The gothic drama–set in rural England in 1875, a century after Victor Frankenstein’s ill-fated creature creation–follows William Browning as he investigates the disappearance of his father’s body. And what he discovers is that Frankenstein’s secrets “have endured over the decades through his sinister journals.”

In the meantime, “graves are being torn up and patients are disappearing from the local asylum.” And, even worse, a woman’s husband commits suicide and she turns to Frankenstein’s journals to bring him back to life.
