Looks like there’s a new fox in the henhouse.
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire–the latest Legendary Pictures foray into the MonsterVerse–will follow up on the 2021 blockbuster Godzilla vs. Kong with even more kaiju action, and a new image of the film’s very large “bad guy” was dropped this week. Check out Skar King on this page.

In the feature–directed by Adam Wingard from a screenplay by Terry Rossio, Jeremy Slater and Simon Barrett–the two iconic beasties apparently combine forces to battle a common foe. And it looks like that enemy is Skar King.
Wingard–during a recent interview with Total Film–said the filmmakers “go in a direction that I don’t think the MonsterVerse has ever seen before–which is that Skar King is, in a way, the closest that a human threat has ever been juxtaposed onto a Titan.”
The director added that the new villain will represent “an upscaled version of the worst parts of humanity–just as Kong represents some of the best parts of humanity. Skar King is too big for just one Titan. It’s going to take a full team together to bring it down.”
This sequel–headed to theaters April 12–stars Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyre Henry, Kaylee Hottle, Dan Stevens, Fala Chen, Alex Ferns and Rachel House.
