Sometimes, nothing is what it seems to be.
Men–the latest thriller from A24–stalks into theaters this Friday, May 20, and a new teaser clip dropped this week that gives a quick peek into the horrors on the horizon. Check out the video–courtesy of collider.com–on this page.
The film–from writer/director Alex Garland (Ex Machina, Annihilation)–follows Harper Marlowe (Jessie Buckley), as she retreats to the English countryside to deal with the death of her husband James (Paapa Essiedu).
But, according to the synopsis, “someone–or something–from the surrounding woods appears to be stalking her. What begins as simmering dread becomes a fully formed nightmare, inhabited by her darkest memories and fears.”
Men–described as a “feverish, shape-shifting horror film”–also stars Rory Kinnear as Geoffrey (as well as numerous other men in the village) and Gayle Rankin as Harper’s friend.
