You can’t tell the real killer without a scorecard.
Scream VI–the much-hyped and highly anticipated next entry in the classic horror franchise–will land in theaters March 10, and a brand-new (and quite convoluted) synopsis has now dropped, according to a report on Screen Rant.
The film–from the directing team of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett and the screenwriting duo of James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick–stars veteran “screamers” Courteney Cox, Hayden Panettiere, Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Jasmin Savoy Brown and Mason Gooding, and introduces Dermot Mulroney, Jack Champion, Liana Liberato, Devyn Nekoda, Josh Segarra and Henry Czerny.
The new installment–according to the updated synopsis–follows the survivors of the last Ghostface attacks as they travel to New York City, where “Final Girl Tara begins to experience manic psychological breakdowns while seeing the ghosts of past killers.”
Meanwhile, Tara’s sister Sam “attempts to manipulate her by pretending to be Ghostface. But when the plans goes wrong, three new masked killers appear on the scene–posing the question of who will survive and who will be the final victim.”
