Meet Renfield’s boss.
The final trailer for the mega-hyped Universal horror-comedy Renfield dropped earlier this week, but that didn’t stop the publicity machine from releasing a short clip that clearly shows how Nicolas Cage is tackling the iconic Vampire Lord. Check out the video on this page before the feature hits theaters April 14.
The R-rated flick stars Nicholas Hoult as Dracula’s bug-eating gofer–along with Awkwafina, Ben Schwartz, Adrian Martinez, Shoreh Aghdashloo, Bess Rous and James Moses Black. And, of course, the scenery-chewing (literally) Cage.
In the film–from director Chris McKay and screenwriter Ryan Ridley–Renfield has been forced “to procure his master’s prey and do his every bidding.”
But now, Renfield wants his freedom, and rebels against the bloodsucker. But he still has to “figure out how to end his co-dependency.”
