The hype machine for the Blumhouse Television series The Horror of Dolores Roach is hitting on all cylinders, and another trailer has now arrived. Check out the video–courtesy of Screen Rant–on this page.
The eight-episode series–based on the Gimlet podcast by Aaron Mark–will debut on Prime Video July 7. This tale of eat or be eaten stars Justina Machado as Roach–along with Alejandro Hernandez, Kita Updike, K. Todd Freeman, Marc Maron, Jean Yoon, Judy Reyes, Jeffrey Self and Cyndi Lauper.
The show follows “Magic Hands” Dolores Roach as she returns to her old Washington Heights neighborhood after a 16-year stint in prison. Reuniting with her pal Luis, who gives her a place to stay, Roach opens a massage parlor in the basement of his empanada shop.
As the trailer shows, it’s not long before Roach is driven to “shocking extremes in order to survive.” And she and Luis become “dangerously symbiotic–and Luis must unleash his own peculiar predilections.
