Monster hunters, rejoice.
A new Monster Hunter video game is being developed by Capcom and TiMi Studio Group (Call of Duty: Mobile), according to a joint statement from the companies.
Few details have been revealed at this early juncture, other than that it will be a mobile game. No gameplay specifics or a release window were divulged.
The in-development game, according to the companies, “will reproduce the hunting actions that define the Monster Hunter series, and will offer players a new game experience unique for mobile devices and phones.”
The new game, as explained, will allow Monster Hunter “to scale to more platforms, with an aim toward giving monster hunters–experienced or new–the freedom to hunt as they desire, anytime and anywhere.”
Monster Hunter–developed and published by Capcom–started with a 2004 version for PlayStation 2. In the game, players take the role of a Hunter, slaying or trapping large monsters across various landscapes as part of quests given to them by locals.
