Always go with a hot hand.

New Line Cinema is jumping on the Zach Cregger bandwagon again, picking up the rights to the Barbarian filmmaker’s latest, Companion, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Plot details of the new film have not been unveiled.

Cregger will produce the new horror thriller, which will be written and helmed by Drew Hancock in his directorial debut. The feature reportedly is being fast-tracked for a production start this year.

As reported, New Line also recently acquired another Cregger horror pic, Weapons, that is expected to start shooting in the spring. The film–written and directed by Cregger–is described as a “horror epic in the vein of Magnolia. It straddles thriller and horror–on a large scale.”

Barbarian–also written and directed by Cregger in his debut solo outing–topped the domestic box office in its opening weekend last fall, and went on to earn more than $45 million worldwide on a budget of just $4.5 million.
