Henry Cavill’s farewell tour is about to start.
The third season of the hit Netflix horror-fantasy series The Witcher kicks off next month–the final season for star Henry Cavill in the lead role of Geralt of Rivia–and new images–courtesy of Entertainment Weekly–have surfaced. Check them out on this page.
Season 3 reportedly will adapt Time of Contempt, the fifth book in the series by Andrzei Sapkowski that has inspired the show. The scripts for the upcoming season are believed to be more faithful to the original material than past seasons.
The upcoming season will air on Netflix in two parts–Volume 1 (five episodes) will stream June 29, with Volume 2 (the last three episodes) airing July 27.
The first two seasons of the show–created by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich–have told the story of the intertwined destinies of Geralt, Ciri (Freya Allan) and Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) in the vast world of The Continent–where elves, gnomes, monsters and Witchers battle to survive.
The show has already been renewed for a fourth season–this time with Liam Hemsworth (The Hunger Games franchise) picking up Geralt’s sword.
