New Horror Thriller ‘Psycho Killer’ Finds Its Headliner

by Thomas Tuna

The Satanic Slasher is not a moniker to be taken lightly.

Psycho Killer–a new thriller from New Regency Pictures–this week added its title character to the growing cast, according to a report on Deadline.

James Preston Rogers (Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley) has joined genre veterans Georgina Campbell (Barbarian) and Logan Miller (Escape Room) in the horror flick, which has already started production. Gavin Polone (Twisted) is directing from a screenplay by Andrew Kevin Walker (Sleepy Hollow).

Rogers reportedly will take on the title role in the feature that follows Jane Thorne (Campbell), a police officer “who makes it her mission to take down a serial killer the media has dubbed the Satanic Slasher, following the murder of her state trooper husband,” according to the synopsis.

New Regency is producing the film–alongside Walker, Roy Lee, Miri Yoon and Matt Berenson.
