This is one horror of a headache.
Handling the Undead–which was just picked up by Neon for North American distribution–is in production now, according to a report on Deadline. No release window has been announced.
The horror pic–co-written by John Ajvide Lindqvist (Let the Right One In) and directed (and co-written) by Thea Hvistendahl–stars Renate Reinsve and Anders Danielsen Lie, along with Bjorn Sundquist, Bente Borsum and Bahar Pars.
Handling the Undead begins on “an abnormally hot summer day in Oslo, as a strange electric field surrounds the city and a collective migraine spreads across the town,” according to the synopsis. Televisions, light bulbs and electronics “go haywire, and chaos reaches a debilitating crescendo–when suddenly, it’s over.”
Kristin Emblem and Guri Neby are producing the movie under their Einar Film banner, with Zentropa Sweden and Filmiki co-producing.
