Her clock is definitely ticking.
Clock–a new psychological horror flick–will have its coming-out party at the Overlook Film Festival in New Orleans today (March 31) and will debut on Hulu April 28, according to a report on Entertainment Weekly. Check out an image and trailer from the film on this page.
The film–from writer/director Alexis Jacknow–follows a woman named Ella (Dianna Agron) in her late 30s who desperately wants to have a baby, and who undergoes an experimental treatment at a remote fertility clinic–which brings on terrifying visions.
“It’s about a woman and her desperate attempt to fix her broken biological clock,” Jacknow said. “It’s about somebody who caves to the pressures of family, society and culture and puts her career on the line to try to have children–to try to want children.Joining Agron in the cast are Saul Rubinek, Jay Ali and Melora Hardin–who plays the head of the fertility clinic.
Jacknow–who admits to being a “total scaredy cat” in her youth–said she fell in love with the horror genre over time. “It’s just a really great genre for getting out message-based material,” she said.
