New Horror Film ‘She Came from the Woods’ is Picking Up Steam Ahead of Theatrical Release

by Larry Dwyer

Releasing theatrically across the country this week, Mainframe Pictures’ newest film, She Came from the Woods, is already barreling full steam ahead as it adds new theaters to it’s opening drive. Filmed in our home state of Connecticut, SCFTW was originally slated to open in just one Connecticut theater but word of mouth has been so strong that several additional Connecticut theaters have added it to their schedule ahead of this weekend’s opening.

For a complete list of theaters that will be showing SCFTW (along with the official trailer), you can head to the films official website by clicking here and doing a locations search.

The film, starring (starring Cara Buono from Stranger Things and William Sadler from The Shawshank Redemption), was directed by Connecticut native Erik Bloomquist on a script from Erik and Carson Bloomquist and is based on a short film of the same title that the duo released in 2017.

On a fun note, friends of Horror News Network may also recognize a few of the campers in the film as they include children of HNN staffers Sean McLaughlin and Larry Dwyer!

As always, please support independent horror by spreading the word and heading out to the theater to take part in the fun!
