New Horror Feature ‘Opus’ From A24 Signs Several Cast Members

So, you wanna be a pop star?

Opus–a new horror pic from A24–has lined up an impressive cast for writer/director Mark Anthony Green, according to a report on Deadline. A production schedule has not yet been announced.

The film–the feature directorial debut for Green–stars Emmy Award winner John Malkovich (Shadow of the Vampire), Amber Midthunder (Prey) and Ayo Edebiri (The Bear)–along with Murray Bartlett, Stephanie Suganami, Young Mazino and Tatanka Means.

Plot details are being held close to the vest, but the film reportedly will follow “an iconic pop star’s return following his decades-long disappearance.”

Collin Creighton, Brad Weston, Poppy Hanks, Jelani Johnson and Josh Bachove are producing the feature.
