Dating can be a real horror show.
Succubus–a new horror thriller–has started production, and Shout! Studios is on board for domestic distribution, according to a report on Deadline. No release window has been announced.
The film–from writer/director R.J. Daniel Hanna–stars Ron Perlman (Hellboy), Rosanna Arquette (The Divide) and Brendan Bradley (the Resident Evil: Village video game)–along with Rachel Cook, Olivia Applegate, Derek Smith, Emily Kincaid and Finley Rose Slater.
Succubus follows a new father going through a marital separation who joins a dating app “and matches with a beautiful–but mysterious–young woman, whose powers of seduction and manipulation entangle him in a mystery more horrifying than he ever could have imagined,” according to the synopsis.
Todd Slater, Ari Novak and Anna Elizabeth James produced the film, with John Rhodes, Jennifer Ambrose and Braden Duemmler serving as executive producers.
