HBO Max revealed a new trailer today which showcases some of the bigger films set to premiere on their channel in 2021. While most scenes only lasted a few short seconds, it was more than enough to whet our appetite.
Up first was a short clip of Godzilla vs. Kong, set to debut on March 26, 2021, which shows the giant ape connecting with a punch on the king of all monsters. Directed by Adam Wingard, Godzilla vs Kong stars Millie Bobby Brown, Alexander Skarsgard, Kyle Chandler, Danai Gurira, Rebecca Hall and Brian Tyree Henry.
Later in the trailer, we saw the familiar faces of Ed and Lorraine Warren (played by Patrick Wilson and Verga Farmiga) answering the phone for a family in need. Set for release on June 4, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It showcases one of the most sensational cases from the Warren’s files, it starts with a fight for the soul of a young boy, then takes them beyond anything they’d ever seen before, to mark the first time in U.S. history that a murder suspect would claim demonic possession as a defense.
The trailer also shows clips of Mortal Kombat, Space Jam 2, Suicide Squad, Dune, Malignant, Tom & Jerry and more.
