Tamashii Nations is unleashing its S.H. MonsterArts Gamera figure–based on the upcoming Netflix anime series Gamera: Rebirth–in August. Check out the photos of the flying kaiju–courtesy of Toyark–on this page.

The action figure–created using 3D data from the Netflix show–stands six inches tall, and includes interchangeable parts and a display stand for flight mode. Costing $100, pre-orders start April 6 for this figure that will be available from most major online collectible retailers.

Gamera: Rebirth–a six-episode animated series–is now in production for a Netflix debut later this year. In the show–set in 1989–three school chums watch as the kaiju Gyaos attacks Tokyo, only to have Gamera enter the fray–resulting in the huge prehistoric turtle battling several monsters at once.

Gamera–last seen in 2006’s Gamera the Brave–was created by Daiei Films in reaction to Toho’s Godzilla. The kaiju turtle debuted back in 1965 in Gamera, the Giant Monster.
