“I think they will get their money’s worth out of this one.”
The Exorcist: Believer–the upcoming sequel to the iconic 1973 horror masterwork–hits theaters in just one week now, and yet another video has dropped that looks back at the original and ahead to the sequel. Check it out on this page.
The Blumhouse/Universal movie–set to leap onto the big screen Oct. 6–is directed by David Gordon Green from a screenplay he wrote with Scott Teems, Danny McBride and Peter Sattler.
In the film, Victor Fielding (Leslie Odom Jr.) is raising his daughter Angela (Lidya Jewett) alone following his wife’s death, and things are going as well as can be expected–until one fateful day when Angela and her friend Katherine (Olivia Marcum) become lost in the nearby woods.
The two girls return three days later–with no memory of what happened to them–and Fielding is soon thrust into a series of events that force him to “confront evil–and find the one person who has seen something like this before: Chris MacNeil (Ellen Burstyn reprising her classic role).”
The Exorcist: Believer is just the first in a planned trilogy of sequels, with the next–The Exorcist: Deceiver–set for a theatrical release April 18, 2025.
