Yet another teaser for Netflix’s The Fall of the House of Usher has arrived before its debut next week, and this clip puts the spotlight on Carla Gugino’s dangerous Verna character. Check out the video on this page.
This eight-episode series–hitting Netflix Oct. 12–draws from the famed 1839 Edgar Allan Poe short story via writer/director Mike Flanagan.
In the show, siblings Roderick (Bruce Greenwood) and Madeline Usher (Mary McDonnell) have built Fortunato Pharmaceuticals into a controversial empire, and when a woman from their past–a demon known as Verna (Gugino)–arrives to kill the Usher heirs, “dark secrets emerge.”
The cast is rounded out by Carl Lumbly, Samantha Sloyan, Henry Thomas, T’Nia Miller, Mark Hamill and Kate Siegel.
