“Leave me alone now.”

The Exorcist: Believer–the first of three sequels to the 1973 horror icon–is only a couple of weeks away from the big screen now, and a new clip has dropped that gives a sneak peek into the horrific possessions to come. Check out the video on this page.

This Blumhouse/Universal pic–slated for theaters Oct. 6–comes from director David Gordon Green, who also wrote the screenplay with Scott Teems, Danny McBride and Peter Sattler.

In the film, Victor Fielding (Leslie Odom Jr.) is raising his daughter Angela (Lidya Jewett) alone after his wife’s death, but their lives take a terrifying turn one day when Angela and her friend Katherine (Olivia Marcum) wander off and become lost in the nearby woods.

The girls return three days later–with no memory of what happened to them–but then a chain of events forces Fielding “to confront evil–and find the one person who has seen something like this before: Chris MacNeil (the returning Ellen Burstyn).”
