Set another place at the head table–the cast of the horror thriller The Bride continues to swell.

Thomas Doherty–currently starring in the Gossip Girl remake on HBO Max–has signed on for the Screen Gems entry, according to a report on Deadline. Doherty replaces Garrett Hedlund, who recently left the film.

The actor joins star Nathalie Emmanuel, along with Hugh Skinner, Sean Pertwee, Courtney Taylor, Alana Boden and Stephanie Corneliussen in the ensemble.

The Bride–directed by Jessica M. Thompson (The Light of the Moon) from a screenplay by Blair Butler (Hell Fest)–is described as a “contemporary thriller that tells the story of a young woman invited to a lavish wedding in England, only to realize her presence has sinister motivations.”

In addition, it was reported that the film is somehow inspired by Bram Stoker’s iconic Dracula, so could the vampiric count be lurking in the shadows?
